Country Cottage

Whilst retaining all the character and age of this fine country cottage it was possible to introduce modern leather furniture and contempory fabrics without losing any of it’s aged charm. The fabric chosen for the windows reflect the light and introduce a feeling of light and space so often lost with low ceilings and beams. The curtains are full length to give ‘height’ to the room. The colour of the leather sofa and large stool was chosen to match the warm hue of the wooden beams and the contrasting textured fabric of the sofa and window stool picked out the yellows in the Persian rug and curtains. The modern sofas compliment rather than contrast with the antique furniture.
